I have noticed that, when wearing Polarized sunglasses, you can’t view the iPad’s screen in Vertical/Portrait mode. You can see it fine in all other positions and angles.
The iPhone has a similar effect, but you see it when holding the device at about “2 o’clock.”

Apple tablet, iPhone 4 & new iWork
From AppleInsider, Apple will (1) announce their new tablet, (2) present the new iPhone OS 4.0, and (3) release an update to the iWork software suite on Wednesday, January 27.
Some say the iWork update will include touch operation to run on the new tablet. It has also been rumored that many new features that will come to the iPhone OS in v.4 have been saved specifically for the release of the tablet.
I think the new iPhone software alone will make it a fun day.
