”The Senator” was Florida’s oldest cypress tree, and it just burned down this morning.
My family and I just saw it over the past Christmas holiday and it saddens me that its fallen victim to an arson related brush fire. The other tree on the property, 90 year old “Lady Liberty”, was not damaged, but nothing will ever be as majestic as the Senator.
Dang!
