My next food order from the Orlando Homegrown Co-op

Here’s the list of my next order from the co-op. The first order was awesome!

Between this and the Okra, Beans and Watermelon from my own garden, I’m eating well lately.

Going Off The Food Grid

Joined the local farmer’s co-op today, and I’ll be picking up my “real” food on Tuesday. I can’t wait for some grass-fed chicken and eggs, sweet potatoes and zucchini.

Here’s my whole first order (meant to be a sampler to start):

  • 1 x Sourdough Batard - VEGAN ($3.75)
  • 2 x Orange, Valencia ($1.70)
  • 2 x Grapefruit, White ($1.60)
  • 1 x Onions, Jumbo Vidala (Georgia origin) ($1.35)

  • 1 x Squash, Zucchini (South Carolina origin) ($2.50)

I Have Discovered

That organic coffee is stronger than “regular” ground coffee (i.e. Folger’s), which means I use fewer scoops to make the same amount. This could mean that organic coffee is not only better, it might be cheaper too.

Any other coffee drinkers familiar with this revelation?
