If you haven’t tried it by now, you should. Definitely changed the way I work and share stuff with friends. And on a Mac, it works straight from the desktop, which is awesome. I just wish I had it about three years ago when I was passing around a hard drive.

link Google Apps No Longer Free? (ahem, Gmail?)

Big move from Google! Targeting business users, their “Apps” suite is now $50/year after a 30-day trial. You can see the updated Google Apps page here.

Apparently there are still ways to get certain things for free, but you have to know where to find the links. Existing Gmail accounts appear safe for now, but any businesses that have come to rely on their apps will now have to pay up.

UPDATE 7/7/09 4pm:

Google has replaced the Standerd (free) Edition link to the Google Apps page, saying it was an inadvertent drop among some layout design testing.
